1. Pull the evaporator sensor out of the evaporator fins.
2. Remove the self-tapping screws and clips from the housing.
3. Carefully separate the housings and remove the evaporator covers. 4. Remove the expansion valve if necessary.
NOTE: When loosening the expansion valve nuts, use a second wrench to hold the valve or evaporator pipe or they can be cracked.
Assemble the evaporator in the reverse order of disassembly, and: • Apply a thin coat of refrigerant oil to the new 0-rings at joint nuts. • Install the expansion valve capillary tube with the capillary tube in contact with the suction line directly, and wrap it with tape. • Reinstall the evaporator sensor in its original location.
